2018 proved to be a significant year for Peace of Adventure and your support made it all possible. We launched new programs in new locations, and organized our first Ladies Adventure—paving the way for a new series of signature events. Recognizing strong growth through our partnership with The Bike Farm in Western North Carolina, we decided to relocate to Asheville, North Carolina to focus on creating the premier adaptive sports program in the Southeast. Our new home affords us the opportunity to offer more programs to more individuals. With new “Adventure Days” programming, we aim to provide 30 clinics serving 150 people in 2019.
With a new mission of Building community through adaptive sports, we are focused on utilizing our unique commitment to volunteerism as an avenue for creating incredible adaptive recreation for individuals with disabilities. While veteran empowerment is a key aspect of our volunteerism, we believe one of the biggest keys to veteran transition is inclusion. Therefore, military service does not define a Peace of Adventure volunteer, but we remain committed to enabling renewed purpose through veteran volunteerism.
Thanks to your support in 2018, Peace of Adventure experienced continued growth, expanded to new locations, established long-term partnerships and set the tone for an amazing 2019.
