Kyle founded Peace of Adventure in 2015 after nearly a decade working with nonprofits serving people with disabilities. Kyle has experience in all facets of nonprofit operations from marketing to fundraising, but finds his passion working hands on with participants in the great outdoors.
With more than a decade of experience leading adaptive sports programming, Jeff Perambo serves as Peace of Adventure’s lead wilderness guide. Jeff is a wilderness first responder, serves on the Crested Butte, Colorado Search and Rescue and holds various adaptive sports certifications. Jeff has a tremendous amount of experience in the backcountry and specializes in skiing, ice climbing, mountaineering, rafting and handcycling adventures.
Jack Speece is the Executive Director, Channels & Alliances at TriNet managing all strategic partner relationships for the firm. Speece, a military veteran, spent his Army time in the Infantry primarily serving in Germany and the Balkans. A West Point and Harvard graduate, Speece has additional experience on Wall Street, Home Depot management and several startup ventures—both as an employee and founder.
Alana is the Vice President of People Operations at California Resources Corporation where she focuses on organizational structure and strategic partnering for her and her team. A graduate from Loyola Marymount University in Political Science, and Pepperdine University, with an MBA, Alana has experienced resident life in Spain, the UK, and the Los Angeles area. When she is not cooking or traveling, she enjoys seeing the latest superhero movie with her family.
Dan Flaherty is the President of Mountain West Consulting, Inc., a Sales Consulting firm located in West Palm Beach, FL, and Charlotte, NC. Dan has spent 23 years in Corporate America with companies such as GE, Intel, and Johnson Controls, running $1B+ global businesses and sales and marketing organizations. He now helps small to mid-sized businesses grow their revenues and increase the valuation of their companies for sale, which affords him more time to spend with his family, pursuing his passion for the outdoors and adventure, and serving and giving back to his local communities.
Tommy is a veteran of the United States Army and recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart after an ambush in Baghdad in 2003. Upon returning home to civilian life, Tommy's identity as a soldier was lost and he struggled, like many veterans, with his transition. Ultimately, Tommy found peace within himself and went on to work with multiple veteran nonprofits Charlotte, N.C. before founding Jacob's Ladder. Tommy joined Peace of Adventure as a participant in 2016 and earned a peer supporter certification in 2017.
After serving eight years in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Aviation Corps, Kellie began a career as a defense consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton responsible for executing program management and systems engineering for government customers. Kellie is currently a Senior Director at Liquid Robotics, Inc., A Boeing Company, leading Defense Sales and Business Development.
Cashion—along with his wife, Eva—owns The Bike Farm in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. Since partnering with Peace of Adventure on our first mountain bike program, Cashion remains deeply committed to helping realize our mission. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Cashion worked as a trauma consultant for an orthopedic implant company, and became interested in preventative medicine through his work with a startup developing a brain assessment platform for early detection of cognitive impairment. This journey led he and Eva to creating The Bike Farm as a place to share the outdoors with others—promoting health, wellness and mindfulness for all.
Nate Redleaf is a partner at Luxor Capital in New York and brings significant experience in finance and business development. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Redleaf now oversees investments across a wide variety of industries and has a deep understanding of growth and organizational expansion. In his personal time, Redleaf enjoys spending time with his wife and children exploring the beaches of California.
Tanner is an Account Executive for Salesforce.org and works with nonprofit organizations nationwide to implement fundraising solutions matching industry trends. A graduate of the University of Colorado, Tanner’s love for his Buffaloes is only matched by his passion for adventure. Tanner cycled across the country in 2003 to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. A current resident of Charleston, S.C., Tanner enjoys spending relaxing weekends on the beach with his family.
Lonnie is an avid adventurer traveling the world and breaking barriers. While Lonnie has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and skied all over Colorado, he is best known for his whitewater kayaking. Lonnie was the first blind person to ever kayak the entire length of the Grand Canyon, and continues to go back every year to empower others to realize what is possible. Lonnie also holds first descents for a blind paddler on a section of the Zambezi River in Africa, and the Gauley River in West Virginia. When not traveling on an epic adventure, Lonnie can be found at his home in Indiana building/renovating homes with a local crew!
